This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

This is my first Final Fantasy game. I enjoyed the overall depth of an emmersive world and creative plot. The only lacking characteristic was an efficent GPS or more accurate mapping system.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

I have FFCC crystal carivan(GC) and ring of fates(DS) and both are really good although crystal carivan was better so when I heard that another FFCC game was comming out I was one of those guys waiting out side of Gamestop at two in the morning to get it and I have to say it was really good, not that I was surprised. The music was great like all FF games and the story was amazing and what I loved about it was that after I won the game I still wanted to come back the next day and start over. I played the DS verson at a friends house and bought the Wii verson and I would have to say after playing both I would recemend the Wii verson even though I was dissapointed with the split screen but other then that I would recemend this game to FFCC vets or newbes who wanted to try it out. My over all score for this game, 9/10

This game is wonderfully great to play. Single player or multiplayer you will enjoy this game. If you played any CC this one rates one of the best. The story is good and when you change equipment its different for the male gender then the female gender. And be prepare fpr the first summon outfits. The Wi Fi is the only thing I can see that's wrong with this game. Not a lot of players and it lags a lot. Playing with your friends on wireless DS is the best way to enjoy this amazing game. This game will blow you away and is one of the best game I have played thin a long time. I can't wait for the next installment FFCC THE crystal bearers. If it keeps the traditional FFCC ii can't imagine what it is going to be like. So go out and buy FFCC Echoes of Timee, I promise you won't be dissapointed.

Well I've been a fan of the FFCC series and well alot of the games have been just not fun. I thought I'd give it one last go, and well I have to say 10/10 on this. The games story is very good, you can easily take time to go back to different levels, and upgrade your equipment, talk to people, and do quest. But the wi-fi part of this game is kinda dead, not many people. The controls are iffy the first time you play but after a couple minutes to the max of one hour, you will have it down. If your new to the FFCC game, you may want to go calvant their easy to control, and balanced stat wise. If your experinced well I personaly like lillties, and Yukes. The Sekie are not very strong, only cool side if that they can double jump (makes the jumping parts a hell of a lot easier) and they can use bows. Final Decesion: I would recommend this to a old or future FFCC fan. Good Luck and have fun!

This installment of CC has completely removed all criticism I've had of previous versions. The multiplayer, which is CROSS-PLATFORM(!), really is implemented a lot better in that you're not nearly as constrained as in previous games. Being able to connect through the Internet is yet another feature that makes you wonder why they didn't use it in the first place. As for the Wii version, which is the one I own, I hardly notice that big of a graphics problem. If you have an HDTV... your best bet is to use the component input cables anyway. Any halfway decent theater system can upscale the 480p to 1080p. Graphics problems solved! Well... mostly. Enough that it's not a real big problem anyway. The only thing Nintendo has to do now is continue to provide games on both Wii and DS that can play with each other. I know I'll buy them.

Well, at long last, after three installments in the Crystal Chronicles series, the latest gives players the option to play online! This is truly a defining point of the game that may make it a must-buy, but more on that later. Starting off, the player creates a character when starting a new game, selecting options such as Race (Clavat, Yuke, Selkie, Lilty), Gender and Name. The player can find, buy, or even create Weapons, Armor, and Accessories to further customize their character. Introduced in this game are Jewels that will allow you to socket them into Weapons or Armor for added Bonuses. Unlike the GCN Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, this game allows for free movement, meaning you can move around anywhere on the map the Party is currently on. The Magic Ring System is back, and allows for a Solo Player or Party to combine their Magic spells into upgraded attacks. Although not new, Abilities can be earned to allow you character to perform different actions, such as Charging the Weapon, or Defending with a Shield. The Music in the game is fairly catchy and won't readily bore you; you might just forget it's playing, or it might intrigue you. Now, in terms of a challenge, this game can be quite hard if you play by yourself. You can recruit NPCs to play alongside you, but the AI for these NPCs is quite lacking. This is why it is almost advised that you play with others online or local, as this makes the game more fun and rewarding. There are some rather difficult puzzles that require help from each party member to proceed onward. To play online with Friends, players must exchange Friend Code. Or, you can choose to play with Random persons, selecting either "Worldwide" or "Continental". In-game, players can exchange preset messages so as to communicate with one another. However, if the players have exchanged Friend Codes, they may freely type any messages they wish. Ok, so now you're probably thinking that you really want this game. Well, you're in luck: there are two different versions available, the Wii version and the DS version. Each game is the same in terms of core content, however there is a major difference, mainly the Control Scheme. The DS version will display two screens; the Top Screen is for main gameplay, whilst the Bottom Screen is for arranging your Items, and checking the Map among other things. However, the Wii version displays two screens side-by-side on the television screen, each with the same function as the DS screens. The player can press the "+" or "-" buttons to magnify each screen. It may be more difficult to play with the Wii version because of the added buttons on the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, but players can get used to the Controls and be playing comfortably in no time. I myself bought the Wii version, and I can honestly say that the Controls or Screen adjusting are not as tedious as some may come to believe. All in all, this game is a great buy, and regardless of whether you choose the DS version for portability or the Wii version* for bigger screens, this game will have you staying up til dawn. *The Wii version also contains a trailer for the next Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game, titled "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles : The Crystal Bearers".

Can't wait!!!

I'm so excited! This is going to be a great game! I've seen many of the previews for it and it looks great, I just sorta wish they didn't change the animation scheme. I liked how the characters looked in the original FFCC... But I've got a feeling it won't matter in this game. Ring of Fates wasn't all that great for me, though. So I'm hoping it won't be so much like it. I love the Wii/DS functionality of it too, Wi-fi will be great! I plan to get it right once it hits the shelves! Watch out Gamestop! Knil's coming!

Poor Man's Final Fantasy

This game is just like all the other Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle's series for the Nintendo systems, they are the poor man's version of a good Square-Enix RPG. They have done a very poor job on this series when it comes to targeting a crowd older then 16. I honestly think that even most 16 year old teenagers would find these games childish and lacking so much when it comes to depth, graphics, animation, violence, content and overall theme. They have a very good idea, and the story could really be something, but they seem to try less and less each time a game in this series comes out. They should really over-haul the entire style of equipment and selection, character stats & abilities section, and how the story plays out. This game could really be a lot better, but it's really just a weak version of other S-E Titles, that I'm sure they hope will hold people over until their true franchise games come out. Perhaps they will try and make this game more mature next time around, and realize that 14 year old teenagers don't cry to their mommy's when a character says kumquat, or if everything in the game isn't all peachy. Can always hope.

Looks Promising

If i were to get this, I'd by it for Wii for two reasons: 1. Wii will output better graphics and online play better the DS. 2. Local multiplayer. I've played Crystal Chronicles, and i would admit it was a fun game. Not the best graphics, but fun game. This game will be a blast on Wii. I love the idea you can link with DS users as well. Too bad you have to have 2 screens though. It would be a lot better if you can use your Nintendo DS and a controller like the original Crystal Chronicles game.

This game its gonna be awesome, you can play online with both DS and Wii online, and offline multi-player up to four players with four differents classes, awesome! And you can put your Mii faces on them lol, thats gonna be funny. The best thing is that FFCC: The Crystal Bearers is coming soon, so lets wait it out guys, at last we get to play what we realy want. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles FTW!
